Planned Giving (top)
The Gift of a Lifetime
A planned gift is a contribution that results from a donor’s careful consideration of how the transfer will affect his or her current financial planning and long range estate planning. This contribution will benefit others beyond the donor’s lifetime.

In Montana, individuals making planned gifts to endowment funds can receive a credit against their state taxes for a percentage of their charitable gift. Other benefits include either a fixed or variable income, reduced federal income tax and reduced capital gain tax liability.

Planned gift donors to Bozeman Deaconess Foundation have the option of being recognized as Deaconess Ambassadors - Investors in Community Health and Quality of Life through Planned Giving.

Planned gifts can be established through gifts of cash or appreciated assets such as stock, securities or real estate.

Common Planned Gifts:
Bequest
Charitable Gift Annuity
Charitable Lead Trust
Charitable Remainder Trust
Life Insurance

Specialized training and software enable Bozeman Deaconess Foundation to provide donors with advanced and ongoing planned giving information in a timely and professional manner. The foundation strongly encourages donors to consult their tax advisors when initiating a planned gift.

When you name Bozeman Deaconess Foundation in your will, trust, or other estate plans, your gift will provide valuable assistance in the future. By notifying the foundation of your plans, we can help insure that your gift will be put to use according to your wishes.

Memorial Giving (top)
To request that memorials be made in the name of a loved one, please include the following in the obituary notice: “The family of ... requests that contributions be made to Bozeman Deaconess Foundation, 931 Highland Blvd., Suite 3200, Bozeman, Montana 59715.” You may also specify that memorials be made to specific funds or departments. For more information please call 406-585-1085.

Tree of Memories (top)
A powerful tribute to those we remember and love, and a symbol of beautiful memories that continue to live today. When loved ones are lost it can bring great comfort to family and friends to make memorial contributions in their name. By choosing Bozeman Deaconess Foundation as a memorial recipient, you can help insure that quality, compassionate care is being provided to those in need. Donors giving in memory of a loved one will receive a note of thanks. In addition, periodically, the family will receive a list of donors who have given.

Bozeman Deaconess Foundation has made the Tree of Memories a cornerstone for memorial giving. For gifts of $250 or more, we will display a leaf on the tree inscribed with your words. The Tree of Memories is located in the patient registration area of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

Footprints (top)
Every family starts with one small step.
The birth of a baby is a time of great joy. It is with this in mind that Bozeman Deaconess Foundation has established Footprints. Footprints provides a unique opportunity for parents, grandparents, family and friends to honor the birth of a loved one. This could be at the time of birth or years later to honor a birthday, anniversary, special occasion or even memorialize a life lost.

Your tax-deductible contribution will help Bozeman Deaconess Foundation insure that programs and services meet the needs of those living in this region. In recognition of your gift of $250 or more, we will display a silver medallion, imprinted with a footprint, the honoree’s name and birth date. Memorial tributes will be recognized in gold. These medallions will be displayed in the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital Maternal Newborn department. You will also receive a beautifully etched glass replica of your medallion. This replica will come with a gold cord hanger perfect for a Christmas tree, window sun catcher or to hang in the honoree’s home.

The Footprints display is located in the Maternal Newborn Department, near the Nursery.
