Bozeman Deaconess Foundation was established in 1998 to generate private
financial support for improved community health and quality of life.
The foundation is a non-profit corporation, governed by an independent
board of directors that administers all philanthropic gifts to Bozeman
Deaconess Hospital and its programs.
Due to more than a century of philanthropic giving by a generous community,
facilities and services have been expanding since the hospital’s
inception in 1911. Constant growth in the area’s population
has resulted in an increased demand for health care services and programs
that cannot be met exclusively with the hospital’s resources.
Through philanthropic partnerships, Bozeman Deaconess Foundation will
strive to insure that services and programs continue to meet the needs
of those living in this region. (top)
It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.
Across the nation health care organizations are facing major financial
challenges. Fortunately, this is not the case in Bozeman. Bozeman
Deaconess Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with well-trained
staff and a strong balance sheet. Maintaining this position is becoming
increasingly difficult. Demands on services are escalating, reimbursements
are declining and costs are rising.
Private funding through Bozeman Deaconess Foundation is essential
to insuring financial stability and maintaining local, nonprofit ownership
of our health care system. The foundation raises private funds for
two purposes. First, contributions are sought for specialized equipment
and services to allow patients to receive advanced treatments in their
home community. Second, endowment funds are being built, the interest
from which will offset declining reimbursements.
Your support will help us maintain affordable health care in the Gallatin
Valley. The health and well-being of our community depends on it.
